About the role

12-month contract working within a culturally safe and harm minimization framework, you will provide outreach case management support to Aboriginal men who are affected by alcohol and/or other drug use.

This will involve undertaking assessments, treatment plans, provision of psycho-social support, referring where appropriate and advocating on behalf of clients, alongside community development activities and completing the required administration and recording of records and case notes.

About you
- Certificate IV AOD or willingness to obtain
- Experience working with AOD and/or dual diagnosis clients including a willingness to participate in relevant training
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of screening, assessment and support to people and their families with AOD issues
- Demonstrated experience in providing high quality advice, education and support to male clients and/or their families
- An understanding of the intergenerational loss, grief and trauma that is experienced by
- Aboriginal community members and the subsequent AOD issues that result.
