
Senior Technical Claims Operations Specialist

We are seeking a senior claims manager to support our runoff strategy as we exit intermediated distribution channels. This influential role requires designing and overseeing outsourced claims processes, monitoring partners' compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations, and maintaining an award-winning customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support oversight frameworks for partners' claims operations
- Conduct assurance activities, including audits and reviews, to ensure regulatory and code compliance
- Report on partner performance to stakeholders and manage action plans
- Oversee referrals for claims exceeding partners' financial delegations
Risk Management / Workplace Health & Safety:
- Proactively manage risks by reporting incidents and improving processes
- Follow workplace health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Promote a strong risk culture across the team and business
Requirements:
- 10+ years of technical claims experience in personal lines and SME
- Strong understanding of claims service best practices
- Experience with underwriting agencies or third-party claims administrators is highly desirable
- Skilled technical claims auditor, able to deliver constructive feedback
- Deep knowledge of financial services legislation and technical requirements
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement
- Strong research, analysis, and evidence-based recommendation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Thrives in a dynamic, autonomous work environment
Working Arrangements:
Hybrid model: office-based Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays
Workplace Flexibility:
Two Brisbane locations available: Sippy Downs and Fortitude Valley
