Key Role Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Coordination: Provide leadership, coordination, and supervision to workers across the state, implementing the Strategic Plan within the SAHF team.
  • Quality & Compliance: Build and maintain high standards aligned to contracts and sector accreditation indicators, ensuring reporting and contractual obligations are met within deadlines.
  • Budget Management: Understand budget parameters and present improvement strategies where possible, ensuring effective financial management of the program.
  • Sector Knowledge: Apply a strong understanding of community housing sector legislation and regulatory requirements, staying up-to-date with sector developments and best practices.
  • Community Engagement: Support positive partnerships between tenants, local organisations, and the broader community, promoting an inclusive, accessible environment that meets the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Advocacy: Promote the SAHF tenancy support model, address service gaps, and liaise with volunteer coordinators to support tenant households and community development, advocating for the needs of the community.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide timely updates, accurate information, and transparent communication through line management reporting requirements, ensuring effective communication across the team and with stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Actively participate in reflective practice, team activities, state-wide forums, and the development of SAHF Services, working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve program goals.

Requirements

  • Experience: Relevant experience or qualifications in Community Housing, Case Management, or Human Services, with a strong understanding of community housing sector legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with diverse groups.
  • Client-Centred Approach: Proven ability to apply a client-centred approach to service delivery, prioritising the needs of tenants and the broader community.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate integrity and drive, with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies as required.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet program requirements, with a valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle.
