About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Leader to join our team at Challenge Community Services. As a Program Leader - Community Supports, you will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations of our disability support programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and implement community support programs in line with participant goals and organisational objectives.
  2. Support and mentor staff, ensuring ongoing development through coaching and training.
  3. Manage resources and program schedules to ensure effective service delivery.
  4. Advocate for participant rights and empower them to make informed decisions about their care.
  5. Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, maintaining high-quality, ethical practices.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams (HR, rostering, business support) and external partners to foster smooth operations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or a related field (and willingness to obtain) or at least 3 years of experience in Disability Services.
  • In-depth knowledge of the disability sector, including NDIS funding and compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in client management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Compassionate and committed to delivering person-centered care

Requirements

You will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Current NSW Working with Children's Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Police Check
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
