Senior Liability Risk Manager

We are seeking a seasoned liability underwriter to join our team in Western Australia.
This position involves assessing and managing moderate to complex liability risks, utilizing industry expertise to deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general liability insurance and risk management principles, as well as excellent communication skills for engaging with agents, brokers, clients, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Applying underwriting strategies to target markets and accounts within your area.
- Underwriting liability insurance risks according to guidelines and standards.
- Liaising with account management and business development teams, agents, and brokers to craft tailored coverage solutions through expert negotiation.
- Mentoring team members, providing guidance, and pursuing personal development.
- Managing the liability portfolio, including processing, credit management, documentation, and risk servicing.
- Experience in general liability underwriting, risk management, liability broking, or related fields.
- Knowledge of insurance legal/regulatory environments and risk analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex underwriting scenarios and negotiations.
- A customer-focused approach to understanding and meeting client needs.
- Insurance qualification such as ANZIIF Cert IV or working towards it.
