Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished wine professional to join our luxury hotel team as a Luxury Wine Manager. This role presents a unique opportunity to elevate your sommelier skills and contribute to delivering exceptional wine experiences for our discerning guests.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing wine inventory efficiently to ensure seamless service.
  • Crafting and updating our comprehensive wine list in collaboration with chefs and the General Manager.
  • Supervising wine service and fostering relationships with winemakers and suppliers.
  • Training and upskilling our Sommeliers and Wine Waiters to provide unparalleled service standards.
  • Curating exclusive wine dinners and events that exceed guest expectations.
  • Guiding customers on perfect wine pairings for every occasion and budget.
Key Requirements
  • Australian working rights and a current QLD RSA certificate.
  • Demonstrated expertise in wine knowledge, particularly Italian, French, and Australian varieties.
  • A solid understanding of COGS and formal hospitality qualifications (minimum WSET Level 3).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, showcasing your ability to manage high-end wine operations.
  • An exceptional attitude, strong team spirit, and outstanding customer service skills.
