Job Description

We are seeking an AV System Designer with expertise in integrating Audio Visual systems to join our team at Remote Staff. This role will involve designing and drafting documentation for clients, creating technical drawings and cable schedules, and collaborating with sales teams.

About the Role
  • Design comprehensive AV solutions for clients, including video conferencing, audio conferencing, meeting rooms, and presentation systems
  • Develop detailed technical drawings and cable schedules to support sales and installations
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to review scope of work and sales orders
  • Assist sales teams with preliminary scope of work, estimated installation hours, and equipment lists
Responsibilities
  1. Design systems and cable schedules according to client needs
  2. Perform site surveys when necessary on larger scale projects
  3. Prepare complete AV plans, including line diagrams, bills of materials, scopes of work, and rack elevations
  4. Stay current on technological developments in the AV field, including new hardware and software
  5. Collaborate with other teams to revise plans and prepare as-built drawings
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience designing complex AV solutions required
  • AV products experience (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Atlas, Harman) required
  • Certified Technology Specialist certification required
  • Demonstrate technical writing responses and formal documentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding people skills, high ethical standards, and work ethic, and solid communications skills
Technical Requirements
  • Technical knowledge of 3 or more of the following: Audiovisual Equipment, Videoconferencing Endpoints, Network Equipment, Network Services, Hardware, Software, and Managed Services offerings
  • Familiarity with building design, AV symbols, and construction documents
  • Knowledge of AV Signal Flow Required
  • Some control systems DSP programming helpful: AMX, Crestron, Extron
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use and integration of AV equipment, as well as in the installation of said equipment
Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience
