AV Technician Job Description

Real Time is seeking a skilled AV Technician to join our team in Sydney. As an AV Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless audio-visual and IT support for our internal teams.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of AV support experience, preferably in a corporate environment. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day AV support, performing weekly preventative maintenance inspections, and troubleshooting and resolving AV-related issues.

You will work closely with our team to ensure that all AV equipment is functioning properly and that our event spaces are up to global standards. Additionally, you will assist with setting up on-site and off-site events, performing tasks such as projection screen setup and mic checks.

We are looking for a customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. If you have experience with Crestron control systems, audio DSPs, and Dante/AES microphone systems, this is an excellent opportunity to join a world-renowned entertainment company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day AV support and ensure that all rooms and event spaces are up to global standards.
  • Perform weekly preventative maintenance inspections and troubleshoot AV-related issues.
  • Work with our team to ensure that all AV equipment is functioning properly.
  • Assist with setting up on-site and off-site events.
  • Maintain inventory of AV equipment and assist with commissioning new spaces if required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of AV support experience, ideally in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with AV hardware and software, including Crestron control systems, audio DSPs, and Dante/AES microphone systems.
  • Understanding of networking, video transmission, and audio/video signal flow.
  • Familiarity with Google Meet conference room equipment or similar and ticketing systems like Jira and Zendesk.
