About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our team in the Sydney CBD offices. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving IT and AV infrastructure to enable more effective and efficient use of technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve IT and AV infrastructure to ensure seamless operation.
  • Support all IT/AV technology aspects at major events at the Department.
  • Install or replace new AV equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain system security and monitor and analyze IT/AV performance.
  • Prepare technical documentation outlining installation and commissioning of IT/AV solutions.
  • Develop contingency plans in case of IT/AV equipment failure.
  • Identify and escalate any risks and assist in their resolution.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Audio Visual (AV) Technician.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AV infrastructure systems.
  • Expertise with AV technologies such as Crestron Devices, Network amplifier, Mobile AV Cart, Interactive touch displays, USB Bridge, HD Capture Dongle, Microphones, Visual displays, Audio conferencing processor, LCD Laser Projector etc.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT/AV technology usage in corporate/commercial settings.
  • Sound knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical language into easy-to-understand language.
Estimated Salary:

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
