Business Development Manager Job Summary

Keegan Adams Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth in the wholesale market for a leading global investment management firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract new clients and grow funds under management.
  • Cultivating Relationships: Identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private wealth, and brokers.
  • Client Presentations: Conduct presentations and product pitches to potential clients, showcasing the advantages of our investment strategies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, addressing their investment needs and concerns.
  • Client Communication: Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on portfolio performance and market developments.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure that all client interactions and transactions adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential clients to assess their suitability for our investment products.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and client information.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market intelligence for management review.

Requirements:

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the investment management or financial services industry.
  • Investment Knowledge: Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and wholesale distribution channels.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
