Bolinda is a leading digital media company that has revolutionised the way people access and consume books.

We are seeking an Audiobook Acquisitions Manager to join our team, responsible for managing relationships with key agents, content providers, and publishers across the globe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with exclusive publishing partners and using their expertise to hunt down the best and most relevant titles for both the trade and library marketplaces.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing global relationships with key agents, content providers, and publishers.
  • Continuing to build and nurture relationships with exclusive publishing partners.
  • Hunting down the best and most relevant titles for both the trade and library marketplaces.
  • Presentation and pitching of business, brand, and core values.
  • Assessing manuscripts and ensuring only the very best titles are acquired.
  • Negotiating commercial terms at a high level.
  • Closing international deals on titles from world-class authors.
  • Maintaining, managing, and growing the whole publishing list.
  • Supporting editorial and rights teams.
  • Exploring new formats for the content portfolio.

Requirements include:

  • Market awareness: in-depth knowledge of all major authors and publishing houses.
  • At least five years' experience in selling or buying rights with top acquisitions and sales.
  • Experience in the audiobook industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and closing the best deals.
  • Genuine hunting approach to acquisitions.
  • Determination and grit in pursuit of success.
  • Conscientiousness and attention to detail.
  • Superior presentation, organisational, and administration skills.
