Audiobook Acquisitions Specialist
About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled professional to oversee our audiobook publishing schedule. You will work closely with key stakeholders to source and secure top titles for both trade and library markets.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining relationships with agents, content providers, and publishers worldwide
- Nurturing relationships with exclusive publishing partners
- Hunting down relevant titles for the marketplaces
- Pitching our business and brand values
- Evaluating manuscripts and ensuring only high-quality titles are acquired
- Negotiating commercial terms at a senior level
- Closing international deals on prominent titles
- Managing and growing the publishing list
- Supporting editorial and rights teams
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of major authors and publishing houses
- At least five years of experience in selling or buying rights with a proven track record
- Audiobook industry experience
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals
- Determination and grit in achieving success
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Superior presentation and administration skills
