Job Title: Claims Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Portfolio Manager to join our team at Tal Services Limited. As a Claims Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for providing insights to the Claims Team about the health of the claims portfolio and supporting with optimising the tidiness of the claims portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Claims Portfolio Management: Use data to optimise claim management strategy and ensure compliance with TAL policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Culture of Process Improvement: Contribute towards a culture of process improvement and ensure all interactions with Customers, Advisers, and other internal and external stakeholders adhere to TAL's Customer Service Culture.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to external regulations (e.g. Privacy and Life Insurance Code of Practice) and all relevant legislation and industry guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Support the Team Manager and Technical Specialist to embed required change within the team while ensuring a best practice approach to claims handling.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain current knowledge of life insurance guidelines, processes, and policy changes.
  • Departmental Projects: Contribute to department and company projects as required and other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3 years experience in Life Insurance claims management.
  • Data Analysis: Experience using data to drive improvements.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to influence and coach others, build rapport and empathy with customers during difficult times, and deliver proactive, high-quality customer service.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Health, or Allied Health (desirable).
