Job Title: Claims Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Portfolio Manager to join our team at Tal Services Limited. As a Claims Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for providing insights to the Claims Team about the health of the claims portfolio and supporting with optimizing the tidiness of the claims portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize Claim Management Strategy: Utilize data to drive improvements in claim management, ensuring compliance with TAL policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Culture of Process Improvement: Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to optimize claims handling.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure adherence to external regulations, such as the Life Insurance Code of Practice, and all relevant legislation and industry guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality, accurate, and compliant work, ensuring all interactions with customers, advisers, and other stakeholders meet TAL's Customer Service Culture standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Support the Team Manager and Technical Specialist in embedding required change within the team, ensuring a best practice approach to claims handling.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Maintain current knowledge of life insurance guidelines, processes, and policy changes, contributing to department and company projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3 years in Life Insurance claims management, with experience using data to drive improvements.
  • Skills: Ability to influence and coach others, build rapport and empathy with customers, and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Health, or Allied Health (desirable), and Diploma or Cert IV in Life Insurance, or equivalent (desirable).
