Job Summary

As an Air Freight Coordinator, you'll play a key role in managing import and export cargo processes. You'll ensure timely and compliant handling, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain high standards of accuracy and service delivery.

  • Prepare run sheets for Direct AWB terminal collection (Imports) and arrange collection with drivers.
  • Update milestones for POD and add Quality Control Events in the Tango system.
  • Clear import freight before delivery to avoid delays.
  • Locate misplaced cargo by tracing with terminals, customers' warehouses, and Schenker warehouse.
  • Attend daily operation meetings and provide statistics on shipments.
  • Follow up with brokers on customs-held shipments when required.
  • Chase customers for clearance information.
  • Arrange cargo inspections with DAFF depots or brokers.
  • Register exports and EDNs.
  • Negotiate with airlines to secure best rates.
  • Book airline shipments according to customs requirements.
  • Send pre-alert documents to destination offices as required.
  • Coordinate daily export cargo lodgement with drivers.
  • Accurately reserve costs for terminal and airline fees.
  • Respond to all incoming emails within reasonable time.
  • Label courier export shipments collected by UPS.
