Peer Support Specialist Role

This role requires a personal experience of caring for someone with a significant mental illness, such as a close friend or family member. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide valuable support to family members and carers of consumers during their inpatient admission and post-discharge.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to family members and carers of consumers during inpatient admission and post-discharge.
- Share your lived experience to help build understanding, hope, and resilience in line with peer support principles.
About This Opportunity
You will be working at Dandenong hospital, but you may be required to work across our other sites (Clayton and Casey hospitals). This role requires a flexible approach to working hours, including a 5 day Monday - Friday roster.
