At SYC, we believe in empowering young people to achieve their employment and education goals.

This role as a Work Ready Coach is pivotal in providing intensive pre-employment support to improve work readiness and help individuals transition into the workforce or pursue further education.

As a member of our supportive team, you will be working closely with participants to identify their individual needs, barriers, and career aspirations.

The day-to-day activities involve conducting comprehensive assessments, providing effective coaching, case management, and client services, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing group activities and training sessions.

We are seeking an experienced professional with excellent interpersonal skills, conflict resolution abilities, and knowledge of education and training options available to young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand participant needs and goals
  • Provide tailored coaching and case management services
  • Work collaboratively with Youth Employment Coaches and other key stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver group training sessions
  • Support participants on work experience activities
Requirements
  • Experience engaging and working with young people
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Effective communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of education, training, and employment options
  • Working with Children Check, National Police Check, eligibility to work in Australia, valid Driver's License, and willingness to drive
