About Us

We are a unique educational institution located in Cooktown, Queensland, Australia.

Our college offers individualised and flexible multiyear secondary education programs for young people disengaged from mainstream schooling.

The key to our innovative teaching and learning practices is acknowledging young people's complex education and social needs, empowering them to identify and pursue their transition to adulthood, further education, employment, or a connection to the community.

As a Teacher at our College, you will work with and support young people, their families, and staff to help develop their skills for taking the next steps in their lives.

The position requires an extraordinary commitment to serving marginalised and disengaged young people who may have a range of personal and social issues including social emotional, cognitive, sensory or physical disability. Many of the young people are impacted by complex trauma experiences.

You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering effective learning and teaching programs, contributing to the development and implementation of school objectives and plans, and contributing to establishing and maintaining a supportive environment.

We seek applications from experienced Teachers committed to creating a child-safe organisation and understanding our commitment and initiatives to truth-telling, healing, and reconciliation.

Teacher Required

We require an experienced Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will possess:

  3. Ability to plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning and teaching programs.
