Job Overview

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing policies that support the Australian Government's agenda to create jobs and build a stronger economy.

About the Role
  • Conduct broad-based consultation with stakeholders on the role of natural gas during and beyond the transition to a net zero emissions economy
  • Coordinate a national strategy across the APS and with the states and territories
  • Develop and communicate public policy
  • Navigate government processes, including Cabinet processes
Key Responsibilities

You will work closely with our team to:

  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including foreign, state and territory governments, industry bodies, community groups and academia
  • Develop high-quality advice for decision-makers, including draft policy documents and policy advice for presentation to the Minister or Executive
  • Communicate confidently and clearly, both written and verbally
What You Will Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of policy development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under limited direction and take initiative to solve problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
