Policy Advisor - Treasury

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Advisor to join our team in the Australian Government's Treasury. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in delivering our purpose by providing trusted policy advice, engaging with stakeholders, building capability, and ensuring effective delivery of priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and results-driven individual to lead a branch with people, financial, risk management, and governance responsibilities. You will contribute to the Treasury's overall culture and purpose as part of our leadership team, leveraging your strong leadership skills, judgement, and strategic thinking abilities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience with high-performing teams
  • Well-developed judgement and strategic thinking skills for managing multiple projects
  • Able to develop collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders and represent the Treasury and Australian Government
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills in fast-paced environments

Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Taxation, Law, Public Policy, Business, or Commerce are highly desirable. Relevant technical experience in quantitative fields, econometric data analysis, and forecasting is also desirable.

Immediate opportunities exist in the Structural Analysis Branch and Corporate Tax Branch, covering various areas within the Treasury.
