Job Opportunity: Governance Officer

The ACT Public Service is seeking a highly skilled Governance Officer to join the Whole of Government Industrial Relations & Public Sector Employment team. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in developing whole-of-government governance-related policies and providing strategic advice on governance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement governance policies and procedures to support the Head of Service
  • Provide high-level advice on governance matters and assist in maintaining relevant legislative frameworks
  • Contribute to the implementation of governance projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote good governance practices

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and minimum 5 years' experience in public sector employment and/or industrial relations
  • Conciliation and mediation qualification or certificate in alternative dispute resolution (desired)
