The Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service provides dedicated mental health care to young people aged 12-25 in Melbourne's north and west, along with their families, carers, supporters, and kin.

As a skilled and compassionate Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure efficient operation of the clinical environment, workforce management, and high-quality service delivery. In the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will assume responsibilities.
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to young people in custody across a 24/7 rotating roster.
- Provide specialist mental health nursing interventions, effectively managing critical incidents and emergency situations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions.
- Deliver mental health nursing care from a Strengths-Based, Recovery-Focused framework.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
- Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health.
- Comprehensive experience in applying clinical and nursing practice in youth mental health, including risk assessment, mental state assessment, psychoeducation, care coordination, ideally in an acute or subacute inpatient setting.
