Youth Mental Health Professional

Job Title:
A mental health professional is sought to provide specialized care in a new voluntary youth mental health unit.
- Provide recovery-oriented care to young people in custody;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans;
- Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives;
- Support the growth and development of junior staff members through mentoring and training.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) or eligibility for registration;
- Relevant experience working with young people and their families, particularly within a forensic or youth justice context;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation techniques;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
