Job Title: Business Services Manager

This is a critical role within the Security and Intelligence Division, providing strategic and operational support to HR and finance functions.

The Business Services Manager reports to the General Manager and oversees payroll services, planning, training coordination, budget and financial management, facility management, procurement, and human resources.

The role manages the division's Human Resources and Finance team and serves as a key conduit between the division's contract managers and the Procurement and Contracts Branch, ensuring streamlined communication, advice and alignment on contract-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate diverse functional teams responsible for various business services functions
  • Manage the effective strategic planning and delivery of corporate and business support services
  • Responsible for the delivery of timely, comprehensive, tailored budget and financial performance monitoring reports
  • Manage, supervise and co-ordinate the division's Human Resources team including the planning and prioritising of work

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Victorian Public Service Purchasing Framework and procurement
  • Ability to develop complex briefs and reports
  • Exceptional leadership and time management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships across various business units

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Qualifications in finance or business management or human resources
