Senior Mechatronics Specialist

Global Leader in Wear Products and Services Seeks Experienced Professional.

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will lead and support the sub-system design and documentation of digital mining products. This includes creating CAD models, circuit diagrams, and PCB layouts.

Key responsibilities include researching and developing prototypes to validate fit, form, and function, performing simulations and analyses such as FEA, thermal, vibrational, and control systems to ensure robust design outcomes. You will also develop comprehensive testing and validation procedures to assess performance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Honours Degree in Mechatronics Engineering is essential.
  • Experience in the mining sector (preferably within excavators and dump trucks) with demonstrable experience in electronics design and analysis, including circuit simulation, PCB design, and/or circuit troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to sales and technical leadership across the full lifecycle of digital systems from conceptualisation and development to integration and enhancement, covering cloud-hosted platforms, edge hardware, and third-party systems.

This role can be based in Brisbane or Newcastle.
