About the role:

We are currently recruiting Permanent Part Time Staff to join our team of care professionals.

You will work a roster of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week, providing personal care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.

As a Personal Care Worker, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide effective clinical and emotional support to residents, recognising changes in their conditions and escalating observations and concerns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents and their families
  • Providing personal care to residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management
  • Supporting nursing staff with assessment, care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes
  • Monitoring the cleanliness, safety and environment of the facility, and reporting any issues of concern

About you:

This role is ideal for someone with:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent (Aged Care)
  • Experience in residential aged care or home care (desired)
  • Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
  • Demonstrated ability to support residents in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication skills in a team and one-on-one interactions
  • Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST philosophy

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check card
  • Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
