The role of Laundry Assistant is a vital part of our aged care facility, ensuring that residents have access to clean, fresh clothes and linen that contribute to their comfort, physical appearance and sense of self-esteem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality laundry services for personal clothing
  • Ensure residents have the clean, fresh clothes and linen they enjoyed at home
  • Label and store laundry correctly
  • Identify and report maintenance issues

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Laundry Assistant role is preferred
  • Caring and compassionate nature
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision

Essentials for Working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
