The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at Uniting AgeWell. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in coordinating personal care for residents, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide effective clinical and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to residents, including consideration for cultural, spiritual, and individual needs
- Provide personal care to residents with complex needs, such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management
- Support nursing staff regarding assessment, care planning processes, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes
- Monitor the cleanliness, safety, and environment, and promptly report any issues of concern
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (Aged Care)
- Experience in residential aged care or home care (desired)
- Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
- Demonstrated ability to support residents in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills in a team and one-on-one interactions
- Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST philosophy – Believe, Excel, Support, and Trust
- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
