Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at Uniting AgeWell. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to residents in our residential aged care settings.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality care to residents, taking into account their cultural, spiritual, and individual needs
- Provide personal care to residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management
- Support nursing staff with assessment, care planning, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and environment of the facility, reporting any issues of concern
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (Aged Care)
- Experience in residential aged care or home care (desired)
- Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support residents in a fast-paced environment
- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
