About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our Sydney-based Construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Plumbing/Irrigation, Landscaping, or Greenkeeping, and be a self-motivated, reliable team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of new irrigation systems, including drainage and water harvesting systems
  • Maintenance and upkeep of irrigation systems, including diagnosing and repairing issues
  • Programming and adjusting irrigation system controllers to ensure proper watering schedules
  • Designing the layout of pipes and sprinklers to achieve even and efficient water distribution
  • Conducting backflow testing and prevention to ensure the water supply is not contaminated by the irrigation system
  • Implementing water-saving technologies and techniques to promote efficient water use and conservation
  • Interacting with clients to understand their irrigation needs, provide solutions, and educate them on system operation and maintenance
  • Managing and maintaining tools and equipment used for irrigation work, ensuring they are in good working condition
  • Following all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of different types of irrigation systems
  • Previous experience in maintaining sports fields/golf irrigation systems
  • Great customer service skills and consistently delivering quality workmanship
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Qualification in Turf/Horticulture preferred but not essential
  • Driver's licence and WHS White Card
  • National Police Check and Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain
