About The Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned Management Accountant to join our team at our Newcastle Office. As part of this role, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and reporting for a mine site, ensuring accurate stewardship of the ledger and insightful reporting through BI systems like IBM Planning and Analytics.

Your Responsibilities

  • Complete all management accounting and financial reporting tasks, including monthly mine site reporting and any ad-hoc reporting.
  • Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Support audit requirements for multiple mines during hard close, half-year audit processes, and joint venture accounting and reporting.
  • Evaluate and ensure correct allocation of expenses across company codes within the general ledger.
  • Develop expertise in Pulse (ERP) and TM1 (BI software).
  • Participate in system update testing.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA membership.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in management accounting with a preference for mine accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with systems such as TM1 Planning Analytics and Pulse.
  • You are dynamic, driven, energetic, and have a positive attitude.
  • You possess a 'growth mindset' and a strong desire to learn and improve.
