We are seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join our team in Fund Accounting. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing daily cash forecasting, monitoring investment activities, and managing liquidity requirements. The successful candidate will have a solid technical and working knowledge of fund oversight models, financial and fund accounting, and be able to document, justify, and demonstrate complex fund financial, accounting, and fund operation matters.

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The Senior Fund Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Solid Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of fund oversight models, financial and fund accounting principles, and be able to apply this knowledge to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Cash Forecasting and Monitoring: Develop and maintain daily cash forecasts, monitor investment activities, and manage liquidity requirements to minimize risk and optimize returns.
  • Investor Reporting: Prepare and review investor statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including investment teams, operations, and risk management, to ensure seamless communication and efficient decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CA/CPA Qualification: A recognized accounting qualification, such as CA or CPA, is essential.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in fund accounting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software packages, such as Investran, SimCorp, or similar, and strong analytical skills using Excel.
