Electrical Design Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Leader to lead the design and delivery of our renewable energy infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing electrical engineering requirements, overseeing the performance of designers, and ensuring quality management and assurance systems are implemented.

  • Serve as the single point of responsibility for electrical design delivery performance across projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all design work assigned to the project.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager on design delivery, multidisciplinary integration, and design performance to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Manage and report on scope, cost, and schedule aspects of design activities.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong knowledge of Energy Infrastructure (particularly substations) and power infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience in designing, constructing, and commissioning HV electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Broad technical understanding of HV connection solutions, power systems, and electrical networks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications and experience required include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer status desirable.
  • 5-10 years of experience, with significant site experience in HV substation construction preferred.
