About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide electrical design leadership on various projects across different sectors, including transport, defence, and civic infrastructure. They will lead small to medium-sized design projects, ensuring efficient delivery while managing budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Design Expertise: Provide technical leadership on electrical design projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage engineering design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget control.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and authorities to ensure project success.
  • Best Practices and Cost Optimization: Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Business Unit Development: Contribute to the growth and development of the business unit by supporting strategic initiatives and enhancing overall success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or related field;
  • Strong expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation;
  • 6-10+ years' industry experience on Australian building services projects, preferably in a consulting environment;
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects across various sectors and scales;
  • Excellent client relationship management and project management skills;
  • Capacity to lead, train, and mentor junior engineers;
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills;
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC, etc.).
