Job Description

Electrical Engineer Role Overview

Lead and deliver detailed primary and secondary electrical designs for HV substations and industrial power systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review protection schemes (excluding PLC programming)
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success
  • Provide peer reviews and support junior engineers
  • Participate in site visits to oversee project progress
  • Drive innovation in electrical design practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support project bidding and proposal development by providing technical input and estimates
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and industry regulations
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including utilities and regulatory bodies, to facilitate project approvals
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the electrical engineering team's growth and capability development

The Successful Applicant

Seeking a proactive and solutions-focused electrical engineer with a strong foundation in delivering complex design projects.

Candidate Profile:
  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in HV electrical design (33-66kV)
  • Proficient in protection/ secondary and primary design
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full Australian working rights
