About the Role

As a key member of the Novatech team, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our Business Services division. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on payroll, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workcover reconciliations. They will also be responsible for coordinating end-of-month accounting procedures, maintaining the integrity of accounting records, and supporting the development of accounting policies and process enhancements.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Finance Officer will provide high-level support to the Business Services Manager on financial management, data auditing, and analysis. They will also stay up-to-date on legislative changes and new technologies to ensure that our financial operations remain compliant and efficient.

Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma of Accounting or equivalent, along with membership in a recognized Accounting body.
  • Familiarity with MYOB Advanced or other ERP systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of both administrative functions and accounting support, reflecting versatility and a holistic approach to business operations.
  • Proven experience supporting Finance Managers or higher, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and ATO compliance, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in IT and systems, particularly Excel and Word, for efficient data management.
