About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our team at Novatech Creative Event Technology. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute weekly payroll, including resolving pay-related queries and ensuring payroll compliance.
  • Complete comprehensive financial compliance tasks, including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workcover reconciliations.
  • Coordinate end-of-month accounting procedures, ensuring accuracy through reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Maintain the integrity of our accounting records, including Cash Accounts reconciliation and Fixed Asset Register management.
  • Support the development of accounting policies, process enhancements, and internal controls.
  • Provide high-level support to the Business Services Manager on financial management, data auditing, and analysis, while staying up-to-date on legislative changes and new technologies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Diploma of Accounting or equivalent, along with membership in a recognized Accounting body.
  • Familiarity with MYOB Advanced or other ERP systems.
  • A comprehensive understanding of both administrative functions and accounting support, reflecting versatility and a holistic approach to business operations.
  • Proven experience supporting Finance Managers or higher, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and ATO compliance, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in IT and systems, particularly Excel and Word, for efficient data management.
