About the Role

This is a full-time contract opportunity with Uniting, providing primary mental health care, medication management, and therapeutic interventions to adults aged 18 and over in the North Sydney area.

As a Clinician with the Uniting Adult Mental Health team, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, participate in weekly case review meetings, and work towards achieving practical and durable goals for clients.

About the Program

The Uniting Adult Mental Health program is designed to support clients for up to 12 months, primarily receiving referrals from GPs and focusing on providing primary mental health care, medication management, and therapeutic interventions.

As a Clinician, you will work closely with GPs, ensuring that clients' care plans are effectively implemented and that discharge planning is handled smoothly.

About You in the Role

In this role, you will bring your clinical knowledge in mental health, particularly in risk assessment, mental state examination, and bio-psycho-social assessment. You will also have experience in providing therapeutic interventions such as CBT.

Your ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, alongside ongoing support from the Team Leader and monthly online clinical supervision, will be crucial to your success.

About You
  • Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and provisional or full membership with AHPRA or an appropriate professional body.
  • A strong understanding of risk assessment and management, mental state examination, and bio-psycho-social assessment.
  • 5 years experience in delivering psychological interventions, particularly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
