Our organisation seeks an experienced professional to lead business development initiatives for our Defence portfolio. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of identifying and pursuing new opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and leading the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and tenders for Defence contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Defence sector, developing strategic partnerships and securing profitable contracts.
- Relationship Building
Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee negotiations through to securing orders and facilitating a seamless handover to the Project Team.
- Work closely with various departments within the organisation, including engineering and manufacturing teams, to drive business success and innovation.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in Sales or Business Development roles, preferably in the Defence industry.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical role with customer-facing experience, ideally Engineering.
- Current Defence Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1.
