Job Overview

A leading organisation is seeking a seasoned project manager to oversee high-profile defence projects.

This strategic role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful delivery of complex defence-related initiatives, aligning with organisational objectives and fostering effective stakeholder engagement.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Lead defence projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers, maintaining a proactive approach to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Prepare and present compelling project documentation, including business cases and status reports, to key stakeholders.
  • Manage contract deliverables and ensure seamless adherence to defence procurement processes, guaranteeing compliance and efficiency.
  • Facilitate robust stakeholder engagement across defence, industry partners, and government agencies, leveraging strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Required Skills:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, or business, complemented by extensive experience in defence project management.
  • Proven expertise in defence acquisition processes, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, underpinned by a collaborative and adaptable mindset.
