Electrical Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. As an Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance across the electricity distribution network and participating in an on-call roster.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to customer phone calls and enquiries, assisting with compliance issues related to rules, regulations, standards, and policies.
  • REC consultation regarding switchboard and SLD drawings, metering and supply arrangements.
  • Site meetings with customers and project managers.
  • Assist Network Connections team with all metering and connection or customer project queries.
  • Support the Dispatch and Control Room with Faults and Emergencies.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal staff and electricity professionals.
  • Attend, investigate and issue customer defect notices.
  • Investigate customer complaints regarding defects in relation to metering and servicing appointments.
  • Work with customer relations with investigations, finalisation and closing of defects issued to customers.
  • Facilitate and complete customer connections to the network.
  • Timely completion of works activity records and other work-related documentation using digital work platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to resolve complex issues in a creative and effective manner.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads in a fluid environment.
  • A Grade Electrical Licence.
  • G Class Electrical Inspectors Licence (V Class endorsement highly desirable).
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • ESI Worker Card.
