At GPS Electrical Services, we deliver high-quality electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator with proven industrial experience and capabilities in high-level electrical design to join our growing team.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Estimation Manager, you will prepare accurate and competitive estimates for industrial electrical projects, from tender through to award.
Your role will also require applying high-level design knowledge to review, interpret, and contribute to project designs and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for industrial electrical projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine scope and requirements
- Apply high-level electrical design knowledge to support tender accuracy and value-engineering
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Identify and assess commercial, contractual, and risk issues within tender documents
- Maintain and update pricing databases and estimating tools
- Attend site visits, pre-tender meetings, and client briefings as required
- Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical estimating within the industrial sector
- Demonstrated ability to deliver competitive tenders for medium to large-scale industrial projects
- High-level electrical design capabilities with strong technical understanding
- Deep knowledge of Australian Standards relevant to electrical systems (AS/NZS 3000)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Work on challenging and technically diverse industrial electrical projects
