About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team at Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. as a Heavy Equipment Specialist. This role is responsible for providing expert maintenance and repair services for a variety of heavy equipment, including cranes, drilling, and piling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Service and Maintenance: Perform major and minor services, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical systems.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test electrical and instrumentation systems and components to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Customer Relationships: Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete service reporting and manufacturers documentation to ensure accurate records and compliance.
About You
  • Qualifications: Trade qualified in Auto Electrical or Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel to customer sites and work overtime as required.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of working independently in the field, problem-solving in various situations.
  • Industry Experience: Crane industry experience desirable, although not a requirement.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues.
  • Driver's License: Current driver's license.
  • Safety Commitment: Commitment to maintain and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace.
