Role Overview

With our headquarters located in the North-West of Sydney and branch offices across Australia, we are seeking a motivated and collaborative Field Service Technician. This role primarily involves servicing, troubleshooting, and responding to breakdown requests within the Bosch Rexroth group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address external service and breakdown inquiries.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of large hydraulic projects.
  • Analyze system requirements to proactively address faults, maintenance, or modernization needs.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and product analysis reporting.
  • Perform hydraulic system troubleshooting and testing.
  • Manage component ordering, installation, testing, and identifying further repair needs, including spare parts opportunities.
  • Uphold customer confidentiality.
  • Prepare and follow up on service quotations.
  • Document all relevant external service paperwork, including vendor quotes, delivery dockets, and service reports.
  • Ensure quality control through thorough documentation of tests and installations, providing necessary customer documentation.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, repairs, installations, and testing of hydraulic components and related equipment.
  • Maintain regular customer contact and manage client relationships, offering optimal solutions.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
  • Hydraulic fitter trade qualification or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in field service or hydraulic systems
  • Proficient knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Strong focus on quality and meticulous attention to detail
  • Dynamic and results-oriented individual
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Strong communication abilities
