About the Role

As a CBRE Maintenance Technical Apprentice, you will develop on-the-job skills to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

We are looking for 2nd Year Apprentice open to Mature Aged in Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Trade Certificate III On going.

  • Shift: 4 on 4 off, 2 days and 2 nights
  • Maximum term - full-time role
  • Location: Lane Cove
  • Client: Data Centre Facilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive training from current engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures
  • Observe engineers while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems
  • Work with management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations
  • Follow a set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
  • Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
  • Australian citizenship required for NV1 clearance

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
