Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Vertiv. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for planning and executing customer service maintenance visits, ensuring that our customers' vital applications run continuously and perform optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute customer service maintenance visits in a structured and methodical manner.
  • Accurately record hours worked, call out and response times using our digital reporting tool.
  • Complete field service reports for every maintenance and service call attended.

Operational Delivery:

  • Carry out commissioning, service maintenance, and after-hours service commitments in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Maintain relationships between Vertiv and our customers through professional interactions and customer feedback.
  • Keep up to date with training requirements across multiple Vertiv technologies.
  • Maintain the supplied company vehicle and personal appearance to the appropriate company standard.
  • Manage personal onboard spares inventory, record, and report inventory use.

WHS, Environment & Quality:

  • Comply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality obligations.
  • Actively promote safety in the workplace.

Daily Work Duties and Expectations:

  • Hold a valid driver's license, with the possibility of visiting remote sites.
  • Be prepared for overnight or longer trips, as well as unaccompanied after-hours work and on-call roster duties.
  • Attend customer service calls, working with ladders, scissor lifts, and scaffolding, and in tight and restricted locations.
  • Work on and around energized electrical equipment, live refrigerant lines, and pressure vessels.
  • Work at heights, requiring Work at Heights Training and refreshed every 5 years.
  • Work on HVAC mechanical systems, involving awkward body positions at times.
  • Lift, carry, and relocate equipment and components, such as compressors and gas bottles.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate (state defendant).
  • Hold a Restricted Electrical License.
  • Hold a Refrigerant Handling License.
  • Have technical knowledge of data centers, telecom, commercial, and industrial or similar industries.
  • Have a proven track record within the Air – Conditioning or other precision cooling industry as a service technician.
  • Have thermal controls and networking knowledge.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
