About the Role

We're seeking a passionate and proactive Family Liaison Officer to play a key role in supporting children, adolescents, and families receiving care at our hospital.

You'll work in close partnership with our Allied Health team, volunteers, and external community organisations to enhance the patient and family experience through recreational, social, and respite initiatives.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience in program coordination or child/family support roles, and a compassionate, creative approach to enhancing patient experiences.

  • Coordinate donations, visits, and community engagement activities with charity partners, volunteers, and philanthropic organisations.
  • Plan and facilitate non-clinical programs, including our Adolescent and Young Adult program.
  • Maintain recreational spaces and resources, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for patients and families.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for recreational activities, playroom operations, and respite for families.
  • Foster positive relationships between families, clinical staff, and community stakeholders.
