About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Operations Engineer to join our team at Epsilon. As a key member of our Platform Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and stability of our production systems, environments, and offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and reliability issues in our production systems.
  2. Develop and maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 system availability and provide on-call capability.
  4. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that production/system reliability is prioritized for our customers.
  5. Collaborate with the Engineering, Product, and Security teams to drive continuous improvement and process excellence.
  6. Uphold Operational Practices and IT Service and Support workflow to ensure best-in-class customer experience.
  7. Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve software and infrastructure quality.

Requirements

Work Experience and Skills:

  1. 2+ years of experience in platform operations engineering, SRE, or DevOps, with industry experience in a support role in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment.
  2. Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services, including Bigtable, Pub/Sub, and GKE.
  3. Experience managing container orchestration tools such as PCF, Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker swarm, or equivalent.
  4. Experience using system monitoring tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, and DataDog.
  5. Experience with automation/configuration management using Terraform or an equivalent.
  6. Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
  7. Proficient in scripting languages like Java, Golang, Python, Bash, or similar.
  8. Experience with monitoring and observability tools like DataDog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  9. Knowledge of database management systems like PostgreSQL.
  10. Understanding of API and microservices architecture.
  11. Experience with horizontal pod autoscaling (HPA).
