**The Opportunity:**
The Contract Support Specialist will be accountable for undertaking contract management and procurement activities, including the reviewing of contract deliverables and invoices. The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication and stakeholder management skills, and experience with ASDEFCON contracts.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Undertake contract management functions, including the reviewing of contract deliverables and invoices;
- Draft complex contract documentation, including Contract Change Proposals, Requests for Tender, and manage procurement planning, tendering, tender evaluation, negotiations, contract formation and contract management activities;
- Manage procurement lifecycle on contracting activities, including coordination of legal and financial services;
- Draft complex contracting correspondence, providing high-level advice in relation to commercially sensitive reports, submissions, solicitation documentation, contract change proposals and other documents as required;
- Apply legal and commercial risk principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting activities;
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and lead strategies to address complex to very complex contracting issues, including dispute resolution;
- Perform business administration activities, including drafting of correspondence, briefs and organisational plans, scheduling and other activities required for effective office management;
- Provide detailed administrative professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development;
**Requirements:**
- Australian Government security clearance of Baseline and be able and willing to obtain an NV1;
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant legal, business or commercial field or minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position;
- Demonstrated experience and practical knowledge of ASDEFCON contracts;
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills and experience;
