Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Contract Specialist to join our team. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your career into project management or contract management by working closely with a Project Manager on bespoke construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contractual details, including specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Contract Change Management: Prepare and issue contract change proposals and amendments.
  • Preconstruction Activities: Participate in preconstruction activities, providing insights and expertise during the planning stages.
  • Requests for Proposals: Respond to customer requests for proposals and prepare RFTs for potential subcontractors.
  • Contract Compliance: Monitor compliance with contract requirements and ensure all conditions are satisfied.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractors to ensure project targets and key milestones are achieved.
  • Variations and Documentation: Estimate variations and prepare relevant documentation for approval.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all contract correspondence and versions using Procore software.
  • Meetings and Reporting: Conduct meetings with contractors regarding contractual issues, as requested by the Project Manager, and prepare reports and presentations for management and clients detailing project status, expenditures, and progress.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a Contracts Administrator in the Australian new build construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software (Procore experience preferred).
